Tom Peters Essentials
Tom Peters and DK have taken his most recent book Re-Imagine and broken it into four smaller topic-related books. They are called the Tom Peters Essentials Series. They include:
- Talent: develop it, sell it, be it
- Leadership: inspire, liberate, achieve
- Design: innovate, differentiate, communicate
- Trends: recognize, analyze, capitalize
I like the series. You'll still find the heavy design of Re-Imagine, but it is toned down. I think it makes it easier to read than the original.
Posted by Todd S. at June 17, 2005 4:28 PMI just started reading Tom's book. I think DK over designed the layout. It reminds me of a comic book. I noticed a few days ago I took 3 times as long to read a page with all he fru fru on it. Content was great but I kept zoning out from the all the art work. KISS is still important. My son is a Technical Writer and what I am learning from him is what it takes to get someone to read something. I guess it is the equivelent of one man's treasure is another man's trash.
I hope the new versions are toned down graphically.

Wow!
I'm a big Tom Peters fan, but I have to admit, I don't know if I am more amazed or apalled that he is repackaging this material, again.
