Bestseller Brought Back

One of the treasures we uncovered on our trip to New York was a new edition to Napolean Hill's Think and Grow Rich from publisher Tarcher Penguin.

This is the grandfather of books on motivational thought. Hill was a journalist that Andrew Carnegie hired to find out what the formula of success was. In the 25 year journey to the answer, Hill interviewed 500 millionaires and published his finding in 1937. The book has sold over 15 million copies in its almost seven decade run.

There are several things I like about this new edition. This version was revised and updated by Arthur Pell. Some additional material uses more recent examples of Bill Gates and Michael Jordan to illustrate points. The packaging is well done with the rough cut pages and french covers (i.e. a soft cover with folded flaps to mimic a dust cover). And it's only $10. You rarely see me mention price, but that is a great price point.

The new version of "Think and Grow Rich" shown on web page http://www.800ceoread.com/products/?ISBN=1585424331 is actually based upon an abridged version of Dr. Hill's original book (first published in 1937) that has been available since the early 1960s.

In addition to this abridged version, "updated" by Arthur Pell, I hope you will consider also listing and referring your readers to another new edition published last year by Aventine Press. It is "Think and Grow Rich!" (subtitled) "The Original Version, Restored and Revised" (ISBN 1593302002), edited by Ross Cornwell.

This new 412-page trade paperback edition (versus 250-300 pages for other editions) has an appendix, extensive endnotes, and an index -- features no other version of the book has ever had. The book has been restored to its complete original (1937) manuscript, fully annotated, then "gently" edited and revised to eliminate errors, outdated terminology, and to change some language that today would be considered racially and otherwise offensive to many readers. The book retails for $19.95.

If you would like to learn more about this project, a brief visit to www.tgr-restored-revised.com will give you some details. The "Editor's Foreword" provides more complete information, and the “Testimonials page will demonstrate how well-received this new book is around the world.

Our new edition of "TGR!" is superior in every way to other versions on the market. It looks better, feels better, reads better. If you examine "TGR!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised," I think you will see why we believe it will soon become the favorite version among Napoleon Hill devotees, entrepreneurs, and other students of success and high achievement. If you would like, I will be glad to send a complimentary copy so that you can evaluate the book youself. If you would like a copy, please send me your mailing address.
