Business Book Awards FAQ
Following are some commonly asked questions about the 800-CEO-READ Business Book Awards.
How much does it cost to submit a book?
It is free!
How many books can I enter?
This year, we have a limit of 30 books per imprint or publisher.
What books are eligible?
Business books with a publication date in 2017.
Can I submit ebooks?
Yes, if a book is only published in ebook format. If a book is published in hardcover, you must submit that format for review copies.
When is the submission deadline?
September 28, 2017.
Who judges the awards?
The 800-CEO-READ Editorial Team serves as judges for the awards.
Finished copies of my book will not be ready until after the deadline. Should I wait to send you those or send a bound manuscript/galley first?
Please send bound manuscripts (loose sheets not accepted) or galleys until the time that you can send the two finished copies.
Can I save my entry form and finish later?
Unfortunately, you cannot. Please have all the required information on hand before you start the form.
Is there anything I should know about shipping the review copies?
Please do not use paper-filled mailers, as they fall apart easily. Also please note that 800-CEO-READ moved locations in 2015. Our current address is: 544 S. 1st St., Milwaukee, WI 53204.
Can review copies be returned to me?
Unfortunately, they cannot.
When will the awards be announced?
The Awards Longlist will be announced in November, the Shortlist in December, and the Book of the Year on January 18, 2018.
