Strategy+Business has published their Best Business Books: 2006. This list is one I look forward to each year (they are on their sixth). The books they choose require a deeper mediation on the study of management and the issues that face business.

I started with a list of 22 books that I thought deserved year-end honors. The narrowing of the list was the hard part. I quickly marked the ones I knew should be on my list and looked to see if they had something in common.

Friday's LA Times has an article about what business travelers are doing now that lap tops are not allowed. Jonathan Daniel, the supervisor of a Borders store at Heathrow Airport, says that the popular titles included "Freakonomics" and "The World Is Flat.
We at 8cr would add a few more current titles like The Long Tail and More Than You Know and Uncommon Carriers.
