Celebrated as the father of modern art, Paul Czanne found inspiration in the natural world, but rather than copying beautiful landscapes, he sought to show how people experience nature. In addition to scenes of his native Provence, Czanne painted memorable still lifes, portraits, and watercolors, experimenting with new techniques in painting that are still in use today. This stunning resource contains many of his greatest works and analyzes his patchwork style and its impact on later artists, including Matisse and Picasso.
